Pete Swanson, Senior Consultant
Pete has 30 years experience in the fields of dispute resolution, negotiation, organizational development/culture change, facilitation, and leadership development/coaching, including serving 17 years as senior partner in the consulting firm of Carr Swanson & Randolph, and 12 years with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). He has provided a wide range of dispute resolution, facilitation, training, leadership development and dispute systems design services in the United States and abroad having worked with over 50 Federal, State, local and tribal governments and has trained over 3,000 mediators, leaders and negotiators. In addition to his extensive domestic practice, he is actively involved in international work, having provided dispute resolution and negotiation services, leadership development, training and conflict coaching assistance in 23 countries. Swanson has a Masters degree in Conflict Management as well as an undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology, both from George Mason University.
